How does a MagicMold™ work?
A MagicMold™ is a 3D-printed masterpice that allows you to easily produce your own foodsafe molds, for example to craft a special homemade chocolate gift.
Use a MagicMold™ to Create your own Chocolate Art in 5 Easy Steps
We'll look at this in more detail soon, but you close the MagicMold™ with rubber bands, pour in the silicone, wait 1-2 hours, remove the MagicMold™ and then fill the resulting foodsafe silicone mold with chocolate.
1. Close the MagicMold™ with Rubber Bands
Oh god I hope nobody needs a detail explanation here, but here goes anyway: You put the 2 parts that we shipped you together and then put some rubber bands around it so that it won't fall apart by itself.
2. Fill the MagicMold™ with foodsafe Silicone
This is the most difficult step, but we're sure you will manage just fine. Shake the silicone bottles, open them, mix em together until you get an even color, then pour the resulting mixture into the MagicMold™. This example uses TFC Type 6 foodsafe silicone, but pretty much any foodsafe silicone should work.
3. Wait 1-2 hours
I was going to show a picture of a clock here, but then I thought: Who will actually read an explanation for waiting? Hello, dear reader. There you are.
4. Open the MagicMold™
Squeeze the silicone a bit away from the side wall and then you can slide off the top part of the MagicMold™. Afterwards, pull out the bottom part of the MagicMold™. You should be left with your first own creation: a foodsafe silicone mold. Gently wash it a bit with soap and/or let it swim in boiling water for a while to be extra sure.
5. Pour in the Chocolate
This is the part everyone has been waiting for. Gently warm up some chocolate until it melts, then pour it into the foodsafe silicone mold that you - yes you, dear reader - have created by following the previous steps. Let things cool off in the freezer for 30 minutes and then you're ready to retrieve your first homemade chocolate masterpiece from its temporary housing.
Finished!
Yup, that was easy. Enjoy your chocolate art yourself and/or share it with that special someone ...
